Bio-Vet, Inc. is led by Dr. William A. Zimmer, D.V.M. President and Director of Research and Development. We are a successful animal nutrition business that was founded in Wisconsin’s dairy region in 1991. Bio-Vet has been supporting producers for over thirty years, and we are proud to manufacture all of our products in Barneveld WI, USA for distribution around the globe.

Notably in 1994, Bio-Vet developed an advanced packaging technique for direct fed microbials and nutritional combination products pioneering them as leaders in the animal health industry. Capsule-In-A-Capsule™ technology earned the company its first patent (5,310,555).

Bio-Vet has continued to expand its product line to include capsules, boluses, pastes, soluble powders, electrolytes, and daily fed additives. Our team of experienced veterinarians and production animal professionals continue to formulate products through research and industry demand.

Bio-Vet’s patented Capsule-In-A-Capsule™ packaging system for direct fed microbial nutritional combinations continues to be the marquis of our product line.

Since 1994, Bio-Vet holds a patent (U.S. Patent 5,310,555) for its critical packaging technique. This innovative technology features the concept of physically separating the live microbial cultures from concentrated micro-nutrients in a combination supplement.

This offers a more complete encapsulation and better dispersion of the microbial culture within the digestive tract. The Capsule-In-A-Capsule™ creates a physical barrier that protects sensitive cultures from damaging compounds (e.g. concentrated trace minerals) allowing the benefits of both technologies in a single formulation.

Bio-Vet is founded by Dr. William A. Zimmer, selling to farmers in the Wisconsin Dairy region.

1994

Capsule-In-A-Capsule™ technology is developed, earning Bio-Vet their first patent.

1996

Bio-Vet is incorporated and functions as its own entity.

2013

Ground breaking for a new corporate office and production facility located in Barneveld, Wisconsin.

2014

Bio-Vet releases QuadriCal® a new formulation of calcium bolus for fresh cow support.

2021
